ELISA kit description
GENTAUR's human GHR ELISA test is a ready to use ELISA kit. We use a monoclonal from mouse specific for GHR was used as capure antibodies on the ELISA test plate. How the elisa works
Sample the amount of 100ul/well of the standard solution at 10000pg/ml, 5000pg/ml, 2500pg/ml, 1250pg/ml, 625pg/ml, 312pg/ml, 156pg/ml human GHR standard solutions into the precoated 96-well plate. Add 0.1ml of the sample diluent buffers into the control well (Zero well). Add 0.1ml of each properly diluted sample of human cell culture supernatant, serum or plasma(heparin, EDTA) to the ELISA plate. Keep in mind that each human GHR standard solution and each sample be measured in duplicate.

Growth hormone receptor is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GHR gene. It is mapped to chromosome 5p13.1-p12. This gene encodes a protein that is a transmembrane receptor for growth hormone. Binding of growth hormone to the receptor leads to receptor dimerization (the receptor may however also exist as a pre-assembled non-functional dimer) and the activation of an intra- and intercellular signal transduction pathway leading to growth. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Laron syndrome, also known as the growth hormone insensitivity syndrome (GHIS), a disorder characterized by short stature (proportional dwarfism).
