Background InformationCD30 ligand (CD30L) and CD30 are interacting cellsurface glycoproteins that are members of the tumour necrosis factor (TNF) and tumour necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamilies. In humans, CD30L is expressed at high levels on activated T cells. There is conflicting evidence with regard to cell surface expression of CD30L on primary human B cells. An initial report of constitutive CD30L expression on peripheral blood B cells33 has not been substantiated.

HandlingCentrifuge the vial prior to opening.
-
PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
-
Additional descriptionFAS ligand and other ligands are binding to the receptor for signaling pathways for example in apoptosis or JNK signaling. Receptor agonists are often tested for drug development.
