Physical form description
Sterile filtered white powder lyophilized from a solution containing 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer pH 7.5.
Reconstitute in sterile H₂O at a concentration of 0.1mg/ml. It is recommended that a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is added for long term storage. Reconstituted IL-31 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C.
Interleukin-31 (IL-31) is an immunoregulatory cytokine that is mainly expressed by activated TH2 cells. IL-31 signals through the IL-31 Receptor (IL-31RA) and the oncostain receptor (OSMR), which are expressed on monocytes, epithelial cells, and keratinocytes. IL-31 has a role in inflammatory skin diseases. Recombinant mouse IL-31 is a non-glycosylated protein, containing 141 amino acids, with a mass of 15.7 kDa.

For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
