Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Cloud Clone Corp they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C. Cy3 antibodies are excited by the 488-nanometer wave of an argon laser and the 633-nanometer line of a helium-neon diode laser. 1 of the Interleukin 4 (IL4) Polyclonal Antibody ( ), can be used in flow cytometry but typically shows lower fluorescence intensity comparable to that of PE or APC. This Cloud Clone Corp antibody is well suited for fluorescent microscopy.

Gene
Interleukin 4 (IL4) is a cytokine that induces differentiation of naive helper T cells (Th0 cells) to Th2 cells. It is used for dendritic and T cell therapy. Upon activation by IL-4, Th2 cells subsequently produce additional IL-4 in a positive feedback loop. The cell that initially produces IL-4, thus inducing Th0 differentiation, has not been identified, but recent studies suggest that basophils may be the effector cell. It is closely related and has functions similar to Interleukin 13. Recombinant, GMP rec. E. coli interleukin-4 for cell culture supplied by GENTAUR. Free samples on request.

About
Pigs and the smaller guinea pigs are frequent used as models for humans. Polyclonals can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on frozen slices or parrafin fixed tissues. The advantage is that there are more epitopes available in a polyclonal antiserum to detect the proteins than in monoclonal sera.

Technique
Polyclonal, Antibody, antibodies against human proteins, antibodies for, Polyclonal antibodies (pAbs) are mostly rabbit or goat antibodies that are secreted by different B cells, whereas monoclonal antibodies come from a single N cell lineage. Pabs are a collection of immunoglobulin molecules that react against a specific antigen, each identifying a different epitope.
