  • Host organism
    Rat (Rattus norvegicus)
  • Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens), Mouse (Mus musculus); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
  • Specificity and cross reactivity
This antibody reacts with the C-terminus of endogenous NAG-1 protein from human tissues. A BLAST analysis suggests reactivity with NAG-1 from chimpanzee and macaque based on a 100% homology. Partial reactivity is expected against rat based on an 86% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with NAG-1 from other sources has not been determined.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
  • Purification method
    Protein G Purified
  • Form Appearance
0.02 M potassium phosphate, 0.15 M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide, sterile filtered
  • Concentration
    1 miligram per 1 mililiter
  • Storage and shipping
Store at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage. For long term storage aliquot and keep the antibody at -20 degrees Celsius. Freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided in order to retain the activity of the antibody.
  • Tested applications
Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA)
  • Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C. Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
  • About
Immunoglobulin gamma, IgG, mouse monoclonal H&L chain clones or rabbit, goat polyclonal antibodies have 4 parts. There are 2 heavy chains, 2 light chains. The IgG antibody has 2 antigen binding sites. They represent 70% or more of serum antibodies. This antibody can be antigen purified or protein A or G purified. For storage sodium azide is added or you can call us to request azide free antibody preparations. These will need colder storage temperatures. Monoclonals of this antigen are available in different clones. Each murine monoclonal anibody has his own affinity specific for the clone. Mouse monoclonal antibodies are purified protein A or G and can be conjugated to FITC for flow cytometry or FACS and can be of different isotypes. Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
