Long description
bFGF plays an important role in the regulation of cell survival, cell division, angiogenesis, cell differentiation and cell migration, and it functions as potent mitogen in vitro. It is expressed in granulosa and cumulus cells. It is also expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma cells, but not in non-cancerous liver tissue.

Applications: ELISA: This antibody can be used as a solution phase antibody at 2 µg/ml in a two site ELISA with unconjugated bFGF antibody (Cat. No. L210M). Typically the ELISA has a working range of 0-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 5 pg/ml with the appropriate standard. Recommended sample volumes are 25-200 µl. Recovery of human basic FBF is human serum is typically >85% in the ELISA.

Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. Basic proteins pH>7 are often produced recombinant and shouldn’t be precipitated by formic acid buffer. Aplha, transcription related growth factors and stimulating factors or repressing nuclear factors are complex subunits of proteins involved in cell differentiation. Complex subunit associated factors are involved in hybridoma growth, Eosinohils, eritroid proliferation and derived from promotor binding stimulating subunits on the DNA binding complex. NFKB 105 subunit for example is a polypetide gene enhancer of genes in B cells.

If you buy Antibodies supplied by nordc they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C. Biotin conjugates can be detected by horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase substrates or anti biotin conjugated antibodies. Avidin and Streptavidin bind to the small biotin and are couple to HRP or AP for ELISA. To break the streptavidin Biotin bond we suggest to use a 6 molar guanidine HCl solution with acidity of pH 1.6.
