  • Description
Substrate for HAT assays. Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a member of the histone H2B family. Transcripts from this gene contain a palindromic termination element. This synthetic peptide covers 1-21 amino acids of the protein.
  • Product Highlights
SOURCE: Synthetic PURITY: ≥ 98% by HPLC MOLECULAR WEIGHT: ~ 2.12 kDa FORM: Lyophilized powder FORMULATION: Peptide was dissolved in distilled water at 1 mg/ml and re-lyophilized to powder form. RECONSTITUTION: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute 1 mg/ml in dH2O. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Store at -20°C for 6 months. For use with BioVision assays K334-100, K336-100 or K346-100, reconstitute H2B peptide in assay buffer at 20 mg/ml concentration and use 2 µl/assay. AMINO ACID SEQUENCE: PEPSKSAPAPKKGSKKAITKA KEY APPLICATIONS: The suggested applications include usage as a substrate for histone modified enzymes, HAT assays (K334-100, K336-100, K346-100), Immunoprecipitation, affinity precipitation, etc.

  • Additional description
Peptides short amino acid chains or epitopes or blocking antagonists. The shortest peptides are dipeptides, consisting of 2 amino acids joined by a single peptide bond, followed by tripeptides, tetra peptides, ... till polypeptides that are long, continuous, and unbranched synthetic peptide chains. These biological oligomers and polymers can be Solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), or in continue produced for custom peptide synthesis projects. The High-efficiency solid phase peptide synthesis (HE-SPPS) is give very low production costs.
