• Specificity and cross reactivity
  Recognizes the 515kD alpha-chain of human CD91 expressed in certain cell types. A strong immunohistochemical reaction is seen in hepatocytes, tissue macrophages, subsets of neurons and astrocytes in the CNS, fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells and monocyte-derived foam cells in atherosclerotic lesions of arterial walls. Will block a2M binding.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
