Background InformationLipocalin-2 (LCN-2), a secreted glycoprotein, is an adipokine that potentially connects obesity and its related adipose inflammation. Lipocalin-2 has also been implicated in a variety of processes including cell differentiation, tumorigenesis, and apoptosis. The recombinant human Lipocalin-2 consisting of 178 amino acids (a.a. 21-198, Accession# NP_00555) was expressed from E. coli and purified using proprietary technology.

-
PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
