Background InformationHuman FSH is a glycoprotein produced from urine of post-menopausal women and having a total molecular mass of 35,500 Dalton. hFSH is a heterodimeric hormone consisting of 165 amino acids chain (non-active) and 115 amino acids chain (active). hFSH induces maturation of Graafian follicles of the ovary, promotes development of germinal cells in males and activates cytosolic tyrosine kinase. The hFSH is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
