  • Physical form description
Lyophilized in 10 mM Tris, pH 8.0 + 75 mM NaCl. The protein may appear as a haze or film, which may not be seen at the bottom of the vial.
  • Reconstitution Instructions
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in 5 mM Tris, pH 8.0 to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles will result in some loss of activity.
  • Background Information
Fibroblast Growth Factor-8 (FGF-8) is also known as Androgen-induced Growth Factor (AIGF), a heparin binding growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express the FGF receptors. Recombinant human FGF-8 is a 22.4 kDa protein containing 193 amino acid residues.
  • Handling
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.
  • Usage
For Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
  • Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
