Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
-
Specificity and cross reactivity
Recognizes human Keratan-Sulfate. Preliminary results, based on western Blot of keratan sulfate from different sources, indicate specificity for keratan sulfate from articular cartilage. Minimal if any crossreactivity with keratan sulfate from intervertebral disc. This is in contrast to the epitope recognized by K0197, which recognizes a widely distributed keratan sulfate epitope. Well suited for detecting keratan sulfate fragments released during human inflammatory or degenerative joint diseases into synovial fluid and serum.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
