SNAP-25 This item detects an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) of human synaptosomal-associated protein, 25kD (SNAP-25). SNAP-25 is a presynaptic plasma membrane protein which is essential for Ca2+-regulated exocytosis of neurotransmitters. SNAP-25 has been shown to bind to and negatively modulate Ca2+ channels, increasing the speed of neurotransmitter release. _x000D__x000D_SNAP-25 is expressed by neurons and neuroendocrine cells as two predominant isoforms; SNAP-25a and SNAP-25b. SNAP-25a is expressed early in development, whereas SNAP-25b expression is linked to synaptogenesis. This item is expected to recognise both isoforms. _x000D__x000D_SNAP-25 may be a possible therapeutic treatment for sufferers of hyperactivity disorders, whilst SNAP-25 based peptides may be a possible treatment for involuntary muscle spasms.

  • Storage and shipping
Store at +Store productone at +4 degrees Celsius. or productone should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius. if preferred. productone should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should productone contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. Shelf Life: 18 months from date of dispatch.
  • Tested for
    Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA)
  • Description
productone is a polyclonal antibody of high purity and binding affinity for the antigen that it is risen against. Properly used, this antibody will ensure excellent and reproducible results with guaranteed success for the applications that it is tested in. Polyclonal antibodies have series of advantages - larger batches can be supplied at a time, they are inexpensive to manufacture and respectively to buy, the time needed for production is considerably shorter. Polyclonal antibodies generally are more stable and retain their reactivity under unfavorable conditions. To obtain more detailed information on productone, please, refer to the full product datasheet.
  • Advisory
In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.
  • Additional description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
  • Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Polyclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.

    GOAT ANTI SNAP-25 (C-TERMINAL) Antibody
  • Technique
Antibody, anti, Goat, antibody to, antibodies against human proteins, antibodies for, goats
  • Host
Goat, The goat polyclonal antibodies are directed against human genes or rabbit or mouse IgGs (H +L) chain primary antibodies and conjugated for detection. It are very good secondary antibodies that are affinity purified and have a good affinity themselves too. Often KLH is coupled to the antigen so anti KLH can be present in the vial.
