Proteinase inhibitor 6 (PI-6) is a 42 kDa cytoplasmic protein belonging to the serine proteinase inhibitor (serpin) super family and the ovalbumin-serpin super family. Sequence similarity sμggests that PI-6 most resembles the ovalbumin serpins . Highest levels of PI-6 are found in skeletal muscle. PI-6 is also found in placenta, cardiac muscle, lung, liver, kidney and pancreas.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Recombinant human full length PI-6
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) purified mouse monoclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence, Flow cytometry
The antibody can be used in indirect immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, and flow cytometry. However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.Tissue, pathway, proteinase, peptidase, protease ,acrosin, lipoprotein, activator, caspase, trypsin, papain, esterase inhibitors are proteins or receptor ligands or receptor antagonists that bind to an enzyme receptor and decreases its activity. Since blocking an enzyme's activity can kill a pathogen or correct a metabolic imbalance, many drugs are enzyme inhibitors. Not all receptor antagonist that bind to enzymes are inhibitors; enzyme activator ligands or agonists bind to enzymes and increase their enzymatic activity, while enzyme substrates bind and are converted to products in the normal catalytic cycle of the enzyme.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
