Specificity and cross reactivity
Specific for the alpha-smooth muscle isoform of actin (Mr 43kD). Recognizes many types of smooth muscle cells, such as those present in vascular walls, intestinal muscularis mucosae and propria, myometrium, stroma of various tissues and is also positive for myoepithelial cells of various glands, notably salivary and mammary gland. Excellent marker for myogenic soft tissue tumors and smooth muscle differentiation. Species Crossreactivity: human, mouse and rat, bovine, equine and chicken. ; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.

Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
