Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
SGK1, serine/threonine-protein kinase Sgk1
Serum and glucocorticoid-inducible kinase (SGK) is a serine/threonine kinase that is closely related to Akt. SGK is rapidly induced in response to a variety of stimuli, including serum, hormones, and osmotic shock, etc. SGK has been involved in modulating anti-apoptotic and cell cycle regulation, as well as in activating certain potassium, sodium and chloride channels.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
Human, mouse, rat
Synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of human SGK
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-SGK polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Immunoprecipitation
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml), immunoprecipitation (10-20 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody detects SGK from samples of human, mouse, and rat origins.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
