Species reactivityHuman (Homo sapiens); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
-
Specificity and cross reactivitySpecific to the integrin alpha-6 chain which is expressed on epithelial and endothelial basement membrane. The VLA alpha-6 chain, which consists of a single disulphide linked 120kD subunit and a small doublet subunit of 25/30kD, is non covalently associated with the VLA beta-chain (CD29) in VLA-6 or alpha 6/beta 1 complex or with integrin beta 4 chain (alpha 6/beta 4). The antigen is also expressed on platelets, monocytes, thymocytes and T lymphocytes.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
