Reconstitution Instructions
Reconstitute in H₂O to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and store at 4°C for 1 week or –20°C for future use. For most in vitro applications, TGF-α exerts its biological activity in the concentration range of 0.5 to 25 ng/ml.

Background Information
Transforming Growth Factor-α (TGF-α) stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of epidermal and epithelial cells. TGF-α has been shown to play a role in the autocrine growth of certain transformed cells. Human TGF-α is a 5.5 kDa protein containing 50 amino acid residues.

Additional description
The TGF-alpha, recombinant is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood.
-
Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
