Long descriptionT-box transcription factor TBX2 is a protein that in Humans is encoded by the TBX2 gene and with subcellulair loCation in the nucleus. This gene is a member of a phylogenetically conserved family of genes that share a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box. T-box genes encode transcription factors involved in the regulation of developmental processes. This gene product is the Human homolog of Mouse Tbx2, and shares strong sequence similarity with Drosophila omb protein. Expression studies indiCate that this gene may have a potential role in tumorigenesis as an immortalizing agent. Transcript heterogeneity due to alternative polyadenylation has been noted for this gene. In melanocytic cell types, expression of the T-box 2 gene is regulated by the Microphthalmia-associated transcription factor The oncogene TBX2 is a coopeRating factor in transformation of pocket protein deficient MEFs. TBX2 downregulates the p53/p21CIP1 pathway both in wild-type and pocket protein deficient MEFs. Tissue specificity: expressed primarily in adult in kidney, lung, and placenta. Weak expression in heart and ovary.

WarningsThis product is intended FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY, and FOR TESTS IN VITRO, not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures involving humans or animals. This product contains sodium azide. To prevent formation of toxic vapors, do not mix with strong acidic solutions. To prevent formation of potentially explosive metallic azides in metal plumbing, always wash into drain with copious quantities of water. This datasheet is as accurate as reasonably achievable, but Nordic-MUbio accepts no liability for any inaccuracies or omissions in this information.

TestMouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
