DescriptionHyaluronidase-1, also known as LUCA1, is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the HYAL1 gene. The gene is one of several related genes in a region of chromosome 3p21.3 associated with tumor suppression. This gene encodes a lysosomal hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidases intracellularly degrade hyaluronan, one of the major glycosaminoglycans of the extracellular matrix. Hyaluronan is though to be involved in cell proliferation, migration and differentiation. This enzyme is active at an acidic pH and is the major hyaluronidase in plasma. Mutations in this gene are associated with mucopolysaccharidosis type IX, or hyaluronidase deficiency.
-
ImmunogenAn amino acid sequence from the N-terminus of human Hyaluronidase-1 (FTTVWNANTQWCLERH) was used as the immunogen for this HYAL1 antibody.
-
StorageAfter reconstitution, the HYAL1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by NJS poly they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
